We have got news that our green girl Saba has been succesful among puppies on dog show of local brukshundklubb with very promising evaluation. Well done by Jessica, we are looking forward to see her in junior class next year!
Bilancy of show day 29-08-2009
SRRS show in Ulriksdal slott did not start well for Pinky, since few days ago after her play she got her front feet injured. She did not get well till today, so I have decided not to show her, since her movement was disturbed by pain and it would not be optimal for her first show. Good thing is that she will have another opportunity in september together with her brother Leon and mummy on unofficial show in Alunda organized by local brukshundklubb.
Leon has not been subscribed and another puppy from our litter Amaretto has been shown with second placement in the class of 4-6 months old puppy males.
At the end Baya has been shown in champion class with third placement and CK. I could not be satisfied with her performance today, since she galloped all the time, despite just few minutes before entering the ring she performed absolutely beautifully at another place behind water fountain. What to do, perhaps she wanted to give this day to her progeny and their future!
2-nd best bitch on national show in Stockholm, Vallentuna 23-08-2009
Seems number two is too often in our show life during this summer! Baya has got this placement among best bitches on the show in Stockholm from Per Lundström. To me surprisingly small show for Stockholm area (only 30 subscribed dogs) was even smaller, since quite a few dogs did not participated.
The same placement in female puppy class and during the same day obtained her daughter Saba - Nakawa´s Ma Chérie Avalanche on Västra Kennelklubbens Inofficiella Valp/Veteranutställning in Göteborg with HP and very promising evaluation. Big thanks to owner Jessica Westman for sending me good news!
2-nd best female on national show in Nyköping, 16-08-2009
Firstly best in champion class and totally second best female is Baya´s result from today´s show. Baya showed good and standard piece of her optimal performance and almost maximum of her physical condition today and together with careful judgement of finnish judge Harto Stockmari and of course, my handling it brought this result. All this things accompanied by presence of her kids Pinky and Leon demanding attention around the ring (a bit loudly).

Good feeling brought visit of Nynäs slott close to Nyköping, which we visited on the way home to have some short break after show. Place with history and beautiful nature was real delight for us and our active doggies as well.
5-best bitch on SRRS Mellan, Askersund, 09-08-2009
After nice performance together with Leon, we have shown nicely with Bahiya too which brought rather ok placement on today show. Just shame that Pinky has not been subscribed today on show as well.
Excellent news was that we met our dear boy Faramir (Allegro) directly on the show and made series of nice photoes of him there. It was specially nice, since he is recovering after recent accident. Just amazing to see him and seems he was very happy to see me as well!
Way back was optimal excluding bad car accident which happened in front of us and slowed down traffic between Askersund and Västerås.
Strange was that crushed cars were located on the road opposite way.
Otherwise it was very good exerience especially for Pinky and Leon to be in Askersund during this weekend.
Leon 2-nd best puppy on SRRS Mellan, Askersund, 09-08-2009
Leon made me happy today by very good performance on his debut show. He was very obedient and performing almost on the level of much older dogs in the ring. Funny was that he was placed among bitches in show catalog based on wrong information in SRRS database. To me he was performing much better than winning puppy. Evaluation is coming soon.
2-nd best bitch on national show in Askersund, 08-08-2009
Today we spent together with all three of our dogs Baya, Pinky and Leon on dog show in Askersund. We attend this show already traditionally every year, but this year we have got extraordinary good weather. Baya has been performing like goddess excluding one line, when she galloped a bit. The result? Second best female in competition of 23 registered bitches.
I have been satisfied with our show performance and her two kids were just so sweet around. Curious as usually, they learnt a lot how to behave on show place today.
After show we have been discovering further beautiful area of Hammar and we have done nice walking around lake Vättern.

BOB and BIG-2 on national show in Alfta, 11-07-2009
Very nice weather despite showering predictions brought for Baya good success. She put a lot of elegance in her movement especially in big ring giving her a lot of space and allowing her fully to show off today. She is in great condition, to my opinion she is getting even better compared to period before pregnancy.

New season after Baya´s pregnancy
We have started new show season on Saturday by showing Baya on international show in Österbybruk. Just 11 weeks after giving birth she is again in great condition without any signs after her puppies.
We have got 4-th best female among 58 registered dogs. Promising result for new season!
Another news is, that Baya´s International Beauty Champion title has been finally officially approved by FCI!!!

No dermoid sinus in our puppy litter!
Today our lovely puppies were checked for presence of dermoid sinus. Sonja Nilsson from kennel Roseridge and Johanna Segerlund from Mohagets kennel came to us to help to check our puppies. GREAT NEWS is that all our puppies are DS free!
Baya´s puppies are here!!!!
Between Sunday night and Monday morning Baya gave birth to 10 dark colour puppies, 6 males+4 females. One puppy female was without ridge, one male has very short ridge (half size) and one correct male was born dead. All other puppies have very nice ridges.
BAYA IS PREGNANT!!!
Our kids are coming! Her pregnancy have been confirmed today by ultrasound, exactly four weeks after mating in Italy. She will have AT LEAST 3-4 puppies. We are really happy for this great news.

BAYA`S MATING!!!
We would like to inform everybody about mating of our girl. It occured on Wednesday-Thursday January 7-8, 2009 with Harmakhis Wisdom Gighen (HARMAKHIS WISDOM FARAJI x FAIRRAY BAKORA HARMAKHIS WISDOM), a handsome dark red male with beautiful expression, excellent ridge and ellegant body construction. FINALLY- BAYA IS NR 1 FEMALE ON SRRS GULDHUNDSLISTAN 2008!!!
The final results of Guldhundslistan are here!!! Baya is vinner among beautiful ´bitches´ with 227 points followed by African Braveheart Fourever Yours with 220 points. Third end up Djungelkattens Zuluridged Zelda with 215 points. Among males was dominating Djungelkattens Acuteridged Aramis with 277 points followed by Stenänga Great G´s Chicory with 242 points and finally third among males was Evergraces Gladiator Phenix with 206 points.

GREAT NEWS - 2nd best bitch on today´s STORA STOCKHOLM!!!
Today show in Stockholmsmässan ´Hund 2008´ judged by Jens Myrman brought for us another valuable points for GULDHUNDLISTAN!!! For the first time Baya has been placed among best bitches on this prestigious show in Älvsjö. She finished as a second best bitch after being second best champion female as well. Very positive evaluation will be added under our show link. First place went to the hands of Rex Ventors Iving which obtained later BOB as well. As a third best bitch was placed another female from Rex Ventors - Farenya.
This is the best Christmas present for me from Baya! Now it is just left to calculate all scores on the list of best RR bitches of Sweden!!!

3-rd best bitch on international dog show in Växjo 02-11-2008
This result we obtained today from judge Poul Örnemark in competition of 29 present bitches. It means we are even further improving our score on Guldhundlistan. Baya keeps going, improving and I am really happy for her!
Second grand daddy of Baya past away
We are very sad to inform that famous Amal Silesian Harta (Ascot’s father) died this weekend at the age of 10, less than 1 year after phenomenal Rydgeway African Hunter.
Myself I never met these dogs personally, but anyway they are in my heart through my beloved Baya. Fortunately they managed to leave behind a lot of beautiful and successful progeny. They will live in their children and grand children.
Baya´s winning chain continues!!!
Today we obtained another BOB and CAC, this time on national show in Tromsö (Norway) from Norwegian judge Niels Brandstrup. Our happiness from last week had today continuation. We had behind us long overnight journey from Uppsala, but beautiful nature of Tromsö was great reward! Interesting experience was also interview by journalist working for local newspaper. So Baya´s and my photo will appear in Tromsö news!
GOLDEN CUP Vilnius - BOB, CACIB and CAC again!
After yesterday exciting results we managed to repeat our success with BOB, CACIB and CAC from judge Aleksei Belkin. It did not change anything on our titles from previous day, but we had even better feelings from our show weekend! What to say, I am just grateful to our girl for these great moments!!!
Baya is new International and Lithuanian Champion!!!
GREAT NEWS since today we got with Baya not one title, but even two! On International dog show ´Vilnius Autumn´ in beautiful Vilnius we have finalized Baya´s International Champion title by obtaining BOB, CACIB and CAC. Beside that she became Lithuanian Champion as well. For this championship it was sufficient to obtain just one winning title, since she is already Swedish Champion. As judge Miroslav Zidar told me after obtaining these prizes, Baya´s look is ´how ridgeback should look like!´

Baya still nr 1 on Guldhundlistan!
Good news again, after september shows our beautiful girl still kept her first place on the list of top swedish bitches with 216 points. Three more shows are on the list this year!
Second bitch is Djungelkattens Zuluridged Zelda with just one point less (215 points) and third is at the present time African Braveheart Fourever Yours with 177 points.
Among males is clearly dominant Djungelkattens Acuteridged Aramis with 277 points.
3-rd best bitch on international dog show in Sofiero
Another good success we obtained with Baya today on the show in Helsingborg organized by Sydskånska Kennelklubben. Baya was placed as a second champion and afterwards as a third best bitch of the show from 41 registered bitches. Vinner of the champion class, best bitch and later also BOB became Rex Ventors Iving, followed by Inanda Mellberg Constantia from open class, us and another champion bitch Ridgebow´s Kamomille of Wasco.
The best male and BOS was today Corleo´s Courrége, followed by youngster Stenänga Faruki El Fumo and champions Ridgebow´s Kaizer of Wasco, Ghali Atif of Argos and Djungelkattens Acuteridged Aramis. There were 38 registered males today.
Baya will have puppies!
We have decided to mate our girl early at the next year! Expected period of her heat is in january-february. The name of the father together with his presentation will be published approximately in october on this website. We are looking forward to welcome our first kids!!!

Baya is at the present time top bitch in Guldhundlistan with 196 points and that is great news!!! We are glad that our lovely girl is showing so well.
Among males is the best now Djungelkattens Acuteridged Aramis with 254 points.
3-rd best bitch on national show in Öland, 06-09-2008
This show was organized by Småland-Öland Kennel club in Böda sand camping, a wonderful turistic place close to the sea. It was just shame that rain was as usually accompanying us, but shower was much heavier during male classes and it magically stopped when bitch competition started.
The best male and later also BOB and BIG-1 vinner became Ridgebow´s Kaizer of Wasco, placed in front of best champion Ghali Atif of Argos and Djungelkattens Acuteridged Aramis.
Among bitches, judge Bengt-Åke Bogren liked the most African Braveheart Forever Yours (BOS) followed by her mother Shona-The African Spirit Of Ishtar. We were placed as a third best bitch in competition of more than 30 bitches. Very positive evaluation could be found under our show link.
Mental test in Nynäshamn brukshundklubb 23-08-2008
Today we have been in Nynäshamn Brukshundklubben to do finally mental test on our girl.
Beginning was just fun for her, only playing and running for artificial rabbit. There she showed herself as a typical ridgeback, since it was enough for her to experience this ´rabbit´only once. Second time she already knew that it is just fake and she did not move even finger!
Personal of the local club made the test for us very pleasant and funny. Especially, figurant in the forest, jumping around and attracting Baya was special, despite she fully ignored him. Ghosts made her a bit upset, but she changed after revealing what is under these strange cloth!

International show in NYKOPING 17-08-2008, judge David Miller (US)
RAIN and RAIN again! This year show season is rich in rainy days. What to do, shows must go on. This also belong to the life of show dogs and their handlers.
Anyway most of the dogs performed excellent despite bad wheather conditions. This year in Nyköping we competed with Baya in champion class and end up as a 3-rd out of 8. On the picture bellow is Baya handled by me (left) with the best champion Norridge Hidaya and later winner of best bitch as well (right). BOB went this day to handsome male Rijstone Aussie Rules. Grattis!!!
4-th best bitch on ridgeback speciality in Askersund, 10-08-2008
This year we could see more than 70 dogs on SRRS Mellan. After last year best bitch, Baya had to be satisfied with no 4. You can read more about opinion of the south african judge David Hull in our Shows section.
The biggest success obtained Shavano´s Changa Ninja (7 and half year old bitch!) and her progeny. Ninja got BOB in competition with her son Zaxxon´s Prince Bosco. We send congratulations to African Braveheart kennel, since African Braveheart´s Forever Yours finalized her championship by being second best bitch just a few days after her second birthday.
BOB, CACIB and BIG-2 on international show in Askersund, 09-08-2008
Today was a great day for us, since we obtained big success on International show in Askersund.
Wheather was very unstable, but we were really lucky. During the open class of bitches the rain was so strong that handlers and dogs became wet in a few minutes. Fortunately, champion class was already without even drop of water and Baya could show fully her elegant movement. Judge Nils Molin placed her firstly as a best bitch and afterwards even in front of fresh world vinner Emoyeni´s Grand Zuberi! We were uncredibly happy, Baya as usually jumped on me a few times after we finished performance.
Group competition was happening also during rain, but anyway happiness continued, since only one breed was better than us today. We were placed by Ann Carlström as a BIG-2 just after dalmatin. Thank you Baya for this success!!!
Baya became finnish show champion!
We have a great news, since Baya obtained BOB, CACIB and CERT from canadian judge Guy Jeavons on International show in Kuopio, Finland. That means that she became champion of Finland! Her evaluation was as great as her success and reminds almost poetry (read it under show link).
Similar success obtained also Ridgebow´s La Toya of Chango just one day earlier (BOB, CACIB and CERT). Great news for dogs from Sweden!
Kennel Name
We would like to inform all fans of Bahiya, that she will be foundation bitch of a new kennel NAKAWA´S, which was approved by FCI 04-10-2007 under kennel number 20070501.
The name of our kennel means pure, beautiful or sound in swahili language. We would be glad if our breeding produces pure typical ridgeback with beautiful expression and sound body. On the other hand we want to breed for health and functionality of these wonderful animals.
